OOU Celebrates Remarkable Ranking Among Africa’s Top 20 Universities for Law

Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, proudly celebrates another landmark achievement as the University has been listed among Africa’s Top 20 Universities for Law in 2026.

According to the Scimago Institutions Rankings, which assesses institutions based on research output, innovation, and societal impact, Olabisi Onabanjo University ranked 14th in Africa for Law. OOU also emerged as one of only three Nigerian universities featured in Africa’s top 20 for Law, alongside the University of Nigeria and the University of Ibadan.

This recognition is a testament to the University’s growing reputation for academic excellence, impactful research, and sustained commitment to producing graduates who contribute meaningfully to legal scholarship, public service, governance, and national development.
