Dr. Caleb Ilemobayo Orukotan, was born on April 06, 1970 in Ayila, Ogun Waterside Local Government Area of Ogun State. He had his Secondary Education at Ogunmodede College, Epe from 1982 to 1987. His quest for further Education took him to the then Ogun State College of Education, Ijagun (now Sikiru Adetona College of Education, Science and Technology), and later the University of Lagos, Akoka, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts (Education) Honours Degree in Educational Management.
He, thereafter, proceeded to the Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, and later, the University of Benin, Benin, Edo State, where he bagged his M.Sc. (Industrial Relations & Human Resource Management) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) Degrees (Industrial Sociology & Labour Relations) in 2010 and 2021 respectively.
Administrative Roles
The Registrar has extensive Administrative experience in the University and other Tertiary Institutions including being an Administrative Officer at the Lagos City Polytechnic, Ikeja, Lagos (1999-2005), and the Bells University of Technology, Ota, Ogun State, which he joined as Assistant Registrar in the year 2005. At the University, he worked and headed several Divisions such as Establishment Office, Council & General Administration, Vice-Chancellor’s Office, Student Affairs, Academic Affairs, Human Resource, and some Colleges of the Institution. He rose through the Administrative ranks to become a Deputy Registrar in 2018, and is currently the Deputy Registrar, Council and General Administration Division of the University.
Dr. Orukotan has served in various Committees and other high level organs of the University. The Governing Council of the Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye approved his appointment as the substantive Registrar of the University at its 214th meeting held on Thursday, 4th July, 2024, and took effect from Thursday, 1st August, 2024, for a period of five (05) years.
Dr. Caleb Ilemobayo Orukotan is happily married with children.
