Suppose you are curious about the big questions of life, about knowledge, morality, truth, justice, human existence, and the nature of reality. In that case, the Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy provides the ideal environment to explore these ideas critically and intelligently. Philosophy trains you to think clearly, argue logically, and analyse complex issues from different perspectives.

As a philosophy student at OOU, you will learn how to question assumptions, evaluate evidence, communicate ideas effectively, and solve problems through reasoned judgment. These skills prepare you for leadership roles in education, law, governance, media, business, and any field that requires deep thinking and sound decision-making.

This programme is designed to help you understand the foundations of human thought, engage with global intellectual traditions, and apply philosophical reasoning to contemporary issues in Nigeria and the wider world.
