We provide accessible, high-quality education through a variety of academic pathways tailored to different categories of learners. We currently operate four main programmes, each carefully structured to serve distinct educational needs while upholding the university’s standards of academic excellence. Whether you are a recent secondary school graduate, a working professional, a lifelong learner, or an academic researcher, our programmes are designed to support your personal and professional development.
1. Undergraduate Programme
Our undergraduate programme offers full-time degree courses across ten faculties, providing a solid academic and practical foundation for students entering higher education. With a wide range of disciplines and a strong emphasis on employability and leadership, students are prepared for real-world challenges and long-term success.
2. Postgraduate Programme
The postgraduate programme caters to individuals seeking advanced academic and professional training in their chosen fields. We offer Postgraduate Diplomas (PGD), Master’s, and Doctoral degrees across multiple faculties. Each programme is built on research, critical inquiry, and academic excellence, aimed at developing thought leaders and change-makers.
3. Centre for Continuing Education and Development (CCED)
CCED provides flexible, part-time and foundational education options for students who may not be able to enrol in full-time programmes. It includes weekend and weekday part-time degrees, pre-degree/JUPEB foundation programmes, and advanced certificate/diploma courses. These programmes offer an alternative pathway into university education or career enhancement.
4. Open and Distance Learning (ODL) Programme
Our ODL programme is designed for students who wish to learn remotely and at their own pace without sacrificing the quality of a university education. It combines digital learning tools with academic support, enabling learners to earn recognised OOU degrees regardless of location.
We encourage all prospective students to explore the programme that best aligns with their academic goals, lifestyle, and career aspirations. Each pathway at OOU reflects our mission to deliver education that is accessible, transformative, and future-focused. For application guidelines, eligibility, and further enquiries, please visit the individual programme pages or contact our Admissions Office.
