The Governing Council is the highest policy-making body of the university. It is responsible for the general direction, governance, and control of the University in accordance with its enabling laws and regulations. It provides oversight on administrative, financial, and strategic matters, ensuring that the University fulfils its mandate as a public institution of higher learning in Ogun State.
The Council comprises experienced academics, senior administrators, and distinguished representatives, including key officers of the University and nominees of the Ogun State Government. The Council operates under the chairmanship of the Pro-Chancellor.
