If you already hold a recognised post-secondary qualification, such as an A-Level certificate, IJMB, JUPEB, OND, HND or NCE, you can apply via the Direct Entry (DE) route. This admission pathway allows you to enter directly into the 200-level of study of your degree programme, shortening the time you spend completing your degree.
Why Choose Direct Entry?
Direct Entry is ideal for you if you have already completed some tertiary education or advanced-level studies and want to continue at the university level without starting from 100-level. By entering through DE, you can build on your previous learning, save time, and reduce the overall cost of your degree. This route also bypasses the UTME, although you still need to apply through JAMB’s Direct Entry portal.
How to Apply for DE
To apply for Direct Entry, you must:
- Register on the JAMB Direct Entry portal and fill out your application.
- Provide your academic credentials, including your A-Level (JUPEB, IJMB) or diploma (OND, HND, NCE) certificates, along with your O-Level results uploaded to the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (JAMB CAPS).
- Select Olabisi Onabanjo University as your institution of choice and specify the course you are pursuing.
- Meet departmental entry requirements, which may include a specific grade or CGPA on your qualification.
OOU Post-UTME
Once your details have been submitted to JAMB:
- Keep checking your admission progress on the JAMB CAPS.
- You are required to participate in the OOU Post-UTME/Direct Entry screening exercise, which verifies your suitability for admission.
- If offered undergraduate admission, proceed with acceptance fee payment and physical document verification at the university.
