Admission Process Overview
Admission into an undergraduate programme at the university begins with candidates applying through either the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) or Direct Entry (DE). After meeting the university’s cut-off mark and other eligibility criteria, candidates are invited to participate in the Post-UTME Screening Exercise. Successful candidates are offered provisional admission and are required to confirm their acceptance and complete registration before the commencement of academic activities.
Step-by-Step Summary
To complete your admission process successfully, follow these key steps:
- Step 1: Apply through UTME or Direct Entry and select OOU as your first choice of institution.
- Step 2: Participate in the Post-UTME Screening Exercise upon meeting the eligibility conditions.
- Step 3: Check your admission status on the admission portal.
- Step 4: Once offered provisional admission, pay the acceptance fee online through the university portal, then proceed to the Academic Affairs Office and your Faculty Office for verification.
- Step 5: After successful verification, complete your online registration and course enrolment to become a fully registered student of the university.
