The Open and Distance Learning Centre (ODLC) programme offers flexible access to quality university education through an online learning system designed for self-motivated learners across Nigeria and beyond. Admission into the Centre’s programmes follows the same academic standards as those of the University’s conventional degree courses, ensuring that every graduate earns a degree of equal value and recognition.
Admission Requirements
1. Four-year Degree Programme
- Candidates must have five ‘O’ level credits in GCE, SSCE or NECO at not more than two sittings in subjects which must include English Language and Mathematics. The remaining three subjects must be from economics, geography, commerce, government, accounts, and bookkeeping.
- Candidates must take English Language and Mathematics and two other subjects from Economics, Geography, Commerce, Government, Accounts, and Book-keeping at the UTME (JAMB).
2. Three-Year Degree Programme
In addition to the requirements in (1) above, candidates must have at least one of the following:
- Pass in at least two subjects in HSC or GCE “A” level. (The grade point is to be determined by the
department from time to time.) - OND in Accounting or Financial Studies, or Business Studies from an approved polytechnic or college
of Technology with at least Upper Credit.
3. ICAN ATS (Final Level)
- Foundation pass of recognised professional bodies such as ICAN, ACCA, CIMA, CIBN, CIA, CIS, CITN, ATSWA.
- A diploma in accounting from Olabisi Onabanjo University with lower credit may be accepted. Diploma certificates from any other approved programmes from the Social and Management Sciences (particularly Business Administration, Economics, and Banking & Finance) of the Olabisi Onabanjo University. Lower credit may be accepted.

- Visit the official ODLC application portal.
- Create an account using a valid email address and phone number.
- Complete the online application form carefully, ensuring all personal and academic information is accurate.
- Upload the required credentials, including passport photograph, O’Level results, and relevant certificates.
- Proceed to make payment for the application form using any of the approved payment channels on the portal.
- Submit your application and print the confirmation slip for reference.
