Part-Time Programme

The Part-Time Programme (PTP) Unit of the Centre for Continuing Education and Development (CCED) offers flexible learning opportunities designed for individuals who wish to pursue higher education while managing work, family, or other commitments. The PTP provides quality education with the same academic standards and rigorous assessment as full-time programmes, ensuring graduates are well-prepared for professional and personal advancement. The Part-time Programme (PTP) unit runs two programmes.

  1. Part-Time Degree Programme
  2. HND Conversion Programme. 

Part-Time Degree Programme

The programme is designed for candidates who wish to earn a degree via a part-time mode of study. It spans a duration of four years, encompassing a total of ten semesters. Admission into the programme does not require JAMB scores, and there is no Post-UTME screening exercise involved. Available courses are as follows:

Entry requirement

  1. Applicants are expected to possess five (5) O-level credit requirements for the respective course, including English Language and Mathematics (Max. of 2 sittings), PLUS any other three (3) relevant subjects.
  2. Applicants are expected to obtain the OOU Part-Time application processing form with the JAMB Part-Time registration number that ends with P.

HND Conversion Programme

The programme is designed for holders of an HND certificate who wish to convert it to a university degree certificate. It is conducted on weekends using a hybrid learning model, combining both physical and online lectures. It runs for a period of two years, comprising six semesters in total. Available courses are as follows:

Abdul-Azeez A. ALAO is a seasoned and distinguished lecturer in the Department of Accounting, Faculty of Administration and Management Sciences (FAMS), Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU), Ago-Iwoye, Nigeria.

He had all his higher education in this great citadel of learning, OOU, where he obtained his Bachelor’s degree in 2007, followed by his Master’s degree in 2017, and PhD (Accounting) in 2024. He is an Associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).

Before joining the services of OOU, he had lectured at Crescent University, Abeokuta, Nigeria (2009 – 2017) and Ideal Professional Studies Centre [Ijebu-Ode & Ijebu–Igbo Centres], Nigeria (2009 – 2010).

He has attended many academic and professional workshops, seminars and conferences. He has over thirty (30) publications in both local and international journal outlets. He was the Coordinator, Centre for Continuing Education (CCED) Programmes in the Department, from 2018 to 2024. He is currently the coordinator of the SIWES Programme in the Department. He is happily married with children.

Oluwaferanmi Isaiah DADA (B.Sc., M.Sc.)

Oluwaferanmi Isaiah DADA was born on January 13, 1982 at Agege in Lagos State, Nigeria. He had his primary school education at Okusanya Memorial Primary School, Tabon-Tabon, Agege, and later proceeded to Saka Tinubu Memorial High School, Orile-Agege, Agege, Lagos State, for his secondary school education.
Mr Dada Oluwaferanmi studied Science Laboratory Technology (Diploma), Physics/Electronics (B.Sc.), and Computer Science (PGD and M.Sc.) all in Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State.
He joined the service of the Centre for Continuing Education, Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye on September 2, 2013 as a Clerical Officer, and was later upgraded to senior staff on Executive Cadre on December 5, 2019. He is currently the Desk Officer in the Part-time unit of the Centre. He is happily married with children.

Oluwatosin Florence FAMOUS (Mrs)

Oluwatosin Florence FAMOUS (Mrs) was born on December 7 1970, had her Elementary Education at St Peter’s (Ang.) Primary School, Imosan, and her secondary education at Ifesowapo Comprehensive High School, Imosan, Ogun State. She later proceeded to Kemson Secretarial Institute, Imepe, Ijebu-Ode for her Secretarial Education with GCE Business Education in 1989. She later went to the National Institute of Education (NTI, Kaduna, Ijebu Ode Study Centre) with a Grade II certificate in 2003 and an NCE in 2007 consecutively.
Mrs Famous got her computer experience at the Ultimate Computer Institute, Ojo, Alaba, Lagos and later got her 50/60wpm in Typewriting in 2005 and 100/120wpm in shorthand in 2010, respectively, at The Polytechnic Ibadan – Open Grading Test, Ibadan, Oyo State
She was employed in the service of the Centre for Sandwich Programmes (now Centre for Continuing Education), Olabisi Onabanjo University as a Secretarial Assistant in 2008. She worked at the various units of the Centre, presently, at the Part-Time Programmes unit. She is happily married with children.
