Your academic journey begins here!
At Olabisi Onabanjo University, we offer multiple admissions routes: UTME, Direct Entry, postgraduate, Open & Distance Learning, and CCED, to meet the needs of a diverse student population. Explore each option below to find your way into our community and take the first step toward your future success. No matter your background or ambition, there’s a clear path for you with us.
1. Undergraduate Admission via UTME
For students seeking admission into any of our undergraduate programmes through the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), we offer a competitive and transparent selection process. Eligible candidates must meet the university’s cut-off mark and other requirements before participating in the Post-UTME Screening Exercise, which is conducted at the main campus. Successful candidates are offered provisional admission, after which they complete registration to become fully matriculated students. For detailed information, including eligibility, screening procedures, and registration, please visit here.
2. Direct Entry (DE) Admission
The Direct Entry (DE) route is designed for candidates who already hold advanced qualifications, such as A-Level, OND, HND, NCE, JUPEB, or other recognised diplomas. DE candidates are also required to participate in the Post-UTME Screening Exercise at the university before being offered provisional undergraduate admission. This pathway allows qualified candidates to enter into 200-level or equivalent courses in their chosen programme. For more information, including required qualifications and the application process, click here.
3. Postgraduate Admission
We offer a wide range of postgraduate programmes across faculties, including Arts, Sciences, Social and Management Sciences, Health Sciences, Law, and Education. Admission is open to holders of recognised first degrees, subject to faculty-specific entry requirements. The postgraduate admission process includes application through the university portal, departmental screening, and verification of academic credentials. Explore specific courses, entry requirements, and procedures on the Postgraduate Admission Page.
4. Open and Distance Learning (ODL) Admission
Our Open and Distance Learning Centre (ODLC) provides flexible access to tertiary education for learners who may not be able to attend on-campus programmes. The ODL programme route currently offers a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, with additional programmes under development. Students enrolled in ODL benefit from the same curricula and qualifications as full-time students, delivered through online learning platforms and support services. Learn more about the programmes, eligibility, and application on the ODL Admission Page.
5. Centre for Continuing Education and Development (CCED) Admission
The CCED offers pre-degree, JUPEB, part-time, and professional development programmes designed to widen access to higher education and lifelong learning opportunities. These programmes prepare students for undergraduate or professional courses at our institution and beyond. Applications are open to suitably qualified candidates, and each programme has specific entry requirements and study centres. For full details, including application procedures, visit the CCED Admission Page.
