Our Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) Business Administration course is designed to help you understand how businesses work and how to manage them successfully.

If you are interested in leadership, decision-making, and finding solutions to organisational challenges, this programme will give you the knowledge and confidence to thrive in the world of business.

Course Overview

The B.Sc. Business Administration course runs for four years (or three years for Direct Entry students). It is carefully structured to combine theory with practical training so that you not only learn the principles of business but also how to apply them in real-life situations.

You will explore key areas such as management, marketing, finance, human resource management, entrepreneurship, and business policy. Along the way, you will develop problem-solving, analytical, and leadership skills that will prepare you for a wide range of careers in business and beyond.

The course also equips you for postgraduate study and professional certifications in business, management, and related fields. By the end of your training, you will have the foundation and experience needed to take on roles in both the private and public sectors—or to start and grow your own enterprise.

Why study at OOU?

Our B.Sc. Business Administration course stands out because it gives you more than just classroom knowledge. From the first year, you are trained to think critically, work in teams, and develop leadership skills. You will be taught by dedicated academics and industry practitioners who bring real-world insights into your learning.

You will also gain practical exposure through the Student Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES), workshops, and seminars that connect you with businesses and employers. With access to modern teaching facilities, digital learning resources, and a curriculum aligned with global standards, you will be well-prepared for today’s dynamic business environment.

Most importantly, this course is designed not only to prepare you for graduate employment but also to give you the confidence and skills to start your own business, manage people and resources effectively, and adapt to change in an increasingly globalised economy.

Research Project

In your final year, you will complete a supervised research project on a business-related topic. This project allows you to investigate a problem in areas such as management, marketing, finance, organisational behaviour, or entrepreneurship.

The research project develops your ability to design studies, analyse data, and present findings in a clear and professional manner. Many students use this opportunity to explore areas that interest them personally or align with their future career plans.

By completing this project, you will show that you can apply the knowledge gained throughout the course to address real-world challenges in business.
