The Ayetoro Campus is one of the five campus locations across Ogun State, alongside the Main Campus, Mini Campus, Ibogun Campus, Sagamu Campus, and Ikenne Campus. Strategically located in Ayetoro, Yewa North Local Government Area, this campus is the proud home of the College of Agricultural Sciences. It is dedicated to training the next generation of agricultural experts, researchers, and innovators who will drive food security, sustainability, and rural development in Nigeria and beyond.
The Ayetoro Campus was established as part of OOU’s mission to make education accessible while promoting practical, community-driven learning. Positioned in one of Ogun State’s major agricultural zones, the campus serves as a centre for teaching, research, and outreach in agriculture and related sciences. Its environment offers students the opportunity to combine theoretical learning with hands-on fieldwork in real agricultural settings, making it one of the most practical-oriented OOU campuses.
Faculties and Programmes
The campus exclusively hosts the College of Agricultural Sciences, which is structured into 2 faculties and 6 departments covering a wide range of fields:
- Faculty of Agricultural Management and Rural Development
- Faculty of Agricultural Production and Renewable Resources
The college runs undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, equipping students with strong academic foundations and technical expertise in modern and sustainable agricultural practices.
Facilities and Learning Environment
The Ayetoro Campus is well-resourced to support agricultural training and research:
- Experimental farms, livestock pens, and demonstration fields for practical learning
- Specialised laboratories in soil science, animal nutrition, and crop technology
- Lecture halls and classrooms designed for interactive learning
- Departmental libraries with access to the University’s main digital library network
- ICT facilities supporting e-learning and agricultural data analysis
- Student hostels and staff quarters that create a vibrant learning community
- A health centre on site providing essential medical services to students and staff
The rural setting of Ayetoro enhances the learning process by exposing students to agricultural communities, farming practices, and real-life development challenges.

Campus Life & Community
Life at Ayetoro Campus is closely tied to its agricultural surroundings. Students participate in hands-on farming, field trips, and community-based projects that connect theory to practice. The campus also supports extracurricular activities, including cultural associations, sports, and student societies.
With its calm and practical environment, the Ayetoro Campus provides a unique academic experience that blends rural life with academic rigour.
